Ruby and Sawyer *sigh*Ruby has had it rough but still whole heartedly believes true love exists. She finds Walker Mountain Ranch her safe heaven. Sawyer who is a local police officer in Aspen doesn't quiet share the same feelings, he views it as the place where he was hurt and betrayed.
As the story unfolds both Ruby and Sawyer must learn to trust again and soon their isn't anything that can stop their attraction which helps them lean on each other. Sawyer knows that Ruby has a dark secret but he doesn't push her to reveal it to him. What could it be? The suspense kept me intrigued right from the beginning. Its full of emotion, its sweet and heart warming and SEXY!!!!

“We need
to keep moving, I don’t have time to explain this over and over to you. I can’t
penetrate your naive little brain any more than I have.” His Adam’s apple bobs,
and he grips my cuffs, pulling me after him.
“Why do
you have to be such an asshole!?” I yank back on the cuffs to get his
attention.
Looking
over his shoulder, he jabs, “I guess you just bring it out in me, Rookie.”
That
stung.
We walk
for what seems like forever, and not one car drives by. The moon is high in the
sky, and the wind is beginning to blow with a chill that has me shrinking into
myself to keep warm.
My
emotions are a mess. I don’t know what to accept as truth, and what is a lie.
I’m always so sure of everything, until Zeek walked in my life. Now, I know
nothing about nothing.
A shiver
trembles from my lips causing my teeth to clatter. Zeek looks over his shoulder
and stops.
“You
cold?”
“I’m
fine.”
Ignoring
me, he shimmies his leather cut off.

“No,

“Hey,” Jamie said from behind him. He turned
around and his senses were instantly alive, remembering how strong the
attraction was between them, even though he had tried to deny it while focusing
on work. Jamie appeared like an angel, bathed in the light of the full moon,
dressed in jeans and a simple pink sweater. Her cheeks were flushed and her
dark hair hung in luscious waves around her shoulders. Her soft lips were
coated in shiny lip gloss and Scott fought the urge to kiss her right then and
there.
“Hey, beautiful,” he said. “Thanks for
inviting me. I feel like I’m standing at the end of the world.”
“You sort of are. I’m so glad you came. I know
it’s a drive from West Hollywood.”
Scott took a step closer, until they were standing
as close as was possible without touching. He could feel the warmth of her
body. He could smell the floral scent of her shampoo. She reached out and
touched his arm, tilting her head up to look at him. His entire body responded
to her touch and he just had to kiss her.
Jamie stood in front of him, lips slightly
open, her eyes inviting. Scott didn’t need a second invitation. He cradled her
face in his hands and leaned forward, his lips pressing against hers. The kiss
started gently and he tilted his head, fitting their mouths together. Jamie
wrapped her arms around his neck. As she gasped, her mouth opened for him. His
tongue swept into her mouth and she stroked it back with hers, angling her head

I felt my eyes widen as his voice encircled me like a warm blanket. No matter how many years went by, I would know his voice even if it were a whisper.
